OVERVIEW - We are pleased to offer this Propane Cylinder Requalification Training Course to propane marketers and others with interest and need to be trained in relative aspects of Propane Cylinder Requalification.

TIMES - THERE IS ONLY ONE CLASS ON DATE NOTED.  It starts at 10 a.m. EST and ends at 2:30 p.m. EST

 

MORNING ONLY THIS TIME - Morning sessions typically run from 8 a.m. to Noon, however there is only one class this date from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. this time.  NO AFTERNOON CLASS THIS TIME.  (Morning and afternoon sessions - when offered back to back - start at 8:00 a.m.EST and end by 12:30 p.m., and afternoon sessions start at 1:30 p.m. and conclude no later than 6:00 p.m. EST)

 

LENGTH - Total hours actual instruction and testing:  4.5 hours each session.

 

COMPLIANCE - This class provides Cylinder Requalification Training as required by 49CFR & CGA & NFPA.

RIN NUMBER -  You do not need a RIN number to attend this class;  you only need a RIN to actually requalify cylinders.  If you do have a RIN # to requalify cylinders you must renew it every 5 years.

COURSE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES - The purpose of this course is to provide you with current information, practices, and procedures to safely and efficiently perform DOT cylinder requalification by visual inspection tasks.

 

After completing this course, you will be able to:

 

  • Document the initial training and-or a Refresher and provide this to your insurance company and-or recognized Authority with Jurisdiction

  • Understand and identify the  properties and characteristics of propane.

  • Identify the different types of DOT cylinders.

  • Identify DOT requirements for cylinder requalification.

  • List the process steps for DOT cylinder requalification by visual inspection.

  • Requalify DOT cylinders by visual inspection and document findings.

  • Use the supplied Certificate of Attendance to document the training in your files.

 

CERTIFICATES - Certificate of Attendance will be provided to all students completing the class.   Certificates will be sent by email to the email addresses associated with the registrations received by us.   If we do not have an email for the individual student, the certificates will be sent to the primary point of contact for the registration of the students.

 

COST - Per Person, the cost is $149.00.   This includes all fees, as well as a pdf download of the “Book”, the 128 page Cylinder Requalification book from PERC.

 

DISCOUNTS - If you have a “coupon code:, use it to reduce the price.  Use it at store checkout or just tell us if we register you.  PERC publication entitled Cylinder Requalification.   Ask your propane industry vendor about coupon codes that they have underwritten for this class.  Their underwriting “coupon codes” will provide you a discount on this class. PAYMENT - The store accepts Credit cards or Paypal.  The “offline payment” or “manual payment” essentially means you will pay by check or other means after you register and before the class.   If you have any problems with paying by card,  use the offline payment choice and we will invoice your company.   We have had reports of customers having issues with American Express for some reason.

Your payment will be processed via PayPal or “Wix Payments” and will appear as Shane Sweet or Shane Sweet LLC on your card statement

 

TESTING - Testing at the end of the class will be overseen by Mike and all paperwork will be submitted to you for your training files

 

SKILL ASSESSMENTS - So-called PERC “Skill Assessments” are not required by PERC for this course. WHEN SKILL

ASSESSMENTS ARE REQUIRED, If you don’t already have an account with PERC you should sign up before class to review what they have.  It is easy and free. Go to https://propane.com/  go to My Account and sign up.For PERC classes requiring Skill Assessments, Skill Assessments are required to be completed within one year of the class by you or your company or a third party. 

The cost of Skill Assessments for PERC CETP classes requiring them is NOT INCLUDED with the classes we offer, however Mike can assist with SAs if needed.  Skill assessments get sent directly to the company with paper exams. When you complete online exams through PERC the company has to download skill evaluations and use a proctor to process the assessments.  Skills Evaluations no longer go to ITS; it is no longer part of the certification program.  They get sent to PERC and must be signed by a proctor. A proctor must do the evaluation.
