If you have purchased or are considering purchasing one or more registrations for this class, a summary of what you need to know is contained herein. You may have already seen this on the store class description (though it may have been truncated there), or Mike Digiorgio or Shane Sweet may have emailed it to you or shared it as a Google Doc.
THIS DOC - Read this entire doc - which may be be truncated on the store description - at this link - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O3JdyhdFVr05IBws8G7xq4AXIxPs0VH0/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102481522003610225523&rtpof=true&sd=true
SKILL ASSESSMENT: Skill Assessment completion on the second day of THIS CLASS IS an OPTION. Subsequent to completion of the exam, the Skill Assessment is required to be completed within one year of the class by you or your company or a third party. Skill Assessment Sessions may be completed after the exam by the instructor, a PERC-authorized Skills Evaluator. “Skills” are very similar to On The Job Training OJT. If you are not handling the completion of the Skill Assessment for your people in-house, choose the Skills Option for the classes with that option. This gets the class, exam and skills done in two days.
We also offer Skill Assessment sessions separate from this class quite regularly. You or your company must see to completion of skill assessments whether it is done by you or someone else (like us). When you complete online exams through PERC you or your company will need the Skill Assessment form and use a PERC-recognized “Skill Evaluator” (not the same as a Proctor) to process the assessments. Participants should review all skills evaluations prior to the evaluation assessment session.
EASTERN STANDARD TIME: please note that all classes and times indicated are Eastern Standard Time. If you live in a time zone other than Eastern Standard Time, please note that your start time will not be the same hour. For instance, if the class is published to start at 8 am EASTERN, and you live on the west coast of the US, your start time will be 5 a.m. local time
TWO Days: This is a non accelerated class. It is a live, online, instructor-led, interactive class and will begin at the time noted
EASTERN TIME and conclude no later than 8 hours later each day. The class will end with a vigorous study session that will involve all attendees and the instructor. The study session will be followed by the online exam.

PREPARATION: Students and those registering students: You must read this entire document and be prepared for class. Regretfully, time constraints do not allow for accommodation of significant disruption or delays in class to assist individual students arriving for class without preparation. Consider:
failure to secure the required publications and have them ready for use in class. Implications: we cannot spend significant time during class assisting students with retrieving the supplied .pdf of the book or books.
failure to test your computer equipment and ensure its working order before class begins. Implications: The entire class relies on every student showing for class with his or her equipment ready to use. We cannot spend class time addressing technical issues for individual students.
failure to have a PERC account set up before class - with delay of exams resulting. Implications: Secure your individual PERC account before class. Arrive for class with this already done. We cannot spend class time addressing this for individual students.
failure to have a working camera and working microphone as class begins. Implications: Camera and microphone and speakers/headset are essential to participate in class.
Use a Desktop computer, Laptop computer or Tablet. We do not recommend the use of a Smartphone for general class sessions.
