If you have purchased or are considering purchasing one or more registrations for the CETP 3.6 Railcar Product Transfer Class and Exam, this document is a summary of the content to be expected. This is a live, online, Instructor-Led and interactive class. You may have already seen this on the store class description, or Mike DiGiorgio or Shane Sweet may have emailed it to you.
REFRESHER OPTION- The student may participate in the instructor-led session as a means to complete a ‘refresher’ session for this class. The refresher is the class only and does not include the exam or skills evaluation. We will issue the refresher student a Certificate (from propaneandoiltraining.com) so the refresher student has written documentation of the refresher session taken.
LIVE - The class and exam are Live - not a recording, not a video. It will be led and instructed by Mike DiGiorgio of Silverback Consulting and propaneandoiltraining.com, one of America's recognized propane instructors, consultants and trainers.
TIME - This is typically a 5-6 hour class with an exam and actual time may vary depending on attendee knowledge level. This online class begins at 10 a.m. EST and the exam should conclude by 4:00 p.m. EST the same day. The “Refresher only” session concludes before the exam begins.

COST - Per Person, the cost is $299, for this class and exam. The Refresher only (take the class but not the exam) is the same price. Skill assessment completion is available separately but not on this date. The price includes all fees, as well as a pdf download of the “Book”, the CETP 3.6 Performing Railcar Product Transfers and Maintaining DOT Intermodal Tanks book.
MINIMUM Students - There is no minimum student registration: the class may run regardless of how many students sign up, however, if class registrations total less than 6 (six) persons, we will notify registrants and provide price options for the class to move ahead.
PAYMENT - The store accepts Credit cards or PayPal. The “offline payment” or “manual payment” essentially means you will pay by check or other means after you register via the store and before the class. If you have any problems with paying by card, use the offline payment choice and we will invoice your company. We have had reports of customers having issues with American Express for some reason. Your payment will be processed via PayPal or “Wix Payments” and will appear as Shane Sweet or Shane Sweet LLC on your card statement
TESTING - Exam at the end of the class will be overseen by Mike, a PERC recognized Proctor. The exam is administered online and requires the testing student to have a working individual PERC account. See the Be Ready document mentioned herein.
PERC ACCOUNT REQUIRED - Anyone needing to take the exam MUST have an individual account with PERC training site: training.propane.com. Exam takers must sign up for their individual PERC account well before class and test his or her login before class begins. PERC tells us that new PERC accounts must be set up 24 hours or more in advance of the scheduled exam. Setting up an individual PERC account is easy and free. Go to training.propane.com to login or sign up. It takes but a few minutes to complete.
PREREQUISITE - You must have Basic Principles & Practices (Book 1.0) to be CETP certified. If you have Basic Principles & Practices - aka Book 1.0 - then you already have a PERC account.
